BellaDesign Landscapes is a family-owned and locally-operated landscaping company proudly serving Marion County and surrounding areas. With over 30 years of hands-on experience, we are passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional areas that enhance your home’s landscape. As a full-service hardscape and landscape company, we specialize in everything from detailed landscape design to expert construction and installation, taking each project from concept to completion with a focus on lasting solutions and complete customer satisfaction.

Ismael and Ruth Mendez

Owners

Founded by Ismael and Ruth Mendez, BellaDesign has deep roots in the community. Ismael, with years of experience working for the renowned Superior Landscape and Garden Center in Ocala, decided to start his own business after the garden center closed in 2019. Together with his wife Ruth, they launched BellaDesign Landscapes, named after their daughter Isabella. Ruth handles client consultations, estimates, and designs, while Ismael ensures every job is executed to perfection, personally overseeing each project to exceed expectations.

Brittany Fischer

Landscaping Project Manager

As a Landscaping Project Manager at Bella Design Landscapes, Britt brings a wealth of experience and is known for her strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Her role centers on ensuring that every project is executed smoothly from start to finish, with a focus on client satisfaction and clear communication.

Britt serves as a trusted point of contact for clients, guiding them through every stage of the process—from HOA assistance to post-installation care.  She works behind the scenes to bring each client's vision to life, collaborating closely with Ruth to ensure every detail is executed. She understands that every project is a significant investment, and communication is key throughout the process.

Britt feels incredibly fortunate to be part of a family-owned company and loves what she does!  She finds great joy in seeing the transformation of clients’ outdoor spaces and is always available to assist. Whether clients have questions about design concepts, maintenance, or anything in between, Britt is there to provide guidance and support.

What to Expect

When you first contact us, we’ll schedule an on-site, in-person meeting to discuss your project.

During this meeting, we’ll listen to your ideas, understand your vision, offer solutions and suggestions, and take any necessary measurements.

Within 3-5 days, you’ll receive an electronic estimate and proposal. If a design is required, Ruth will keep you informed about design expectations and deadlines in advance.

​

Once you approve the proposal, we’ll add your project to the schedule, and a deposit will be required to purchase the necessary materials.

​

We’ll also provide any required documents, sketches, and color swatches for HOA approval, and if needed, public utilities will mark gas, electric, water, and cable lines.

​

When installation day arrives, you’ll see our smiling team ready to work. We’ll put in the effort every step of the way to ensure your project turns out just as you envisioned—or even better!
